David Sanzo

Gary, Its been years. Growing up, Gary was pretty tough and very street smart. Ironically, what made Gary different was passion. I always remember gary getting in the green truck with his Dad. His dad was an tile artist. And as most teachers know, if the student doesn't have an interest, then all the teaching in the world won't help. But that was not Gary. I think Gary had an appreciation for the art in the trade. Something I think he always maintained. Another passion was cooking. Funny as its sounds, but here's this tough guy, with his cigarettes rolled up in his short sleeves, in the kitchen. He loved good food. Probably because his mom, Sadie, and Nana, his grandmother, instilled this passion when he was younger. It became part of him. The other thing I will remember about Gary is his genuine laugh and smile. It was infectious. He could even get Nana to smile. Of course, he probably did something that he should have not done to get her attention, but he was willing to risk that for a smile. David Sanzo
