Rose M.(DiLorenzo) Salce, 84, of Berlin, CT passed away peacefully Friday, November 24, 2017 at Autumn Lake Healthcare of New Britain. Rose was born in New Britain on May 18, 1933 and was the second born child of the late Michael and Lucy (Arcidiacono) DiLorenzo. She grew up in New Britain and attended the New Britain local schools. Rose worked at Fafnir Bearings and later on years she worked at New Britain Bank & Trust. She enjoyed playing cards with her family, celebrating the Holiday's and reading books.
Rose is survived by her three children – her daughter Paula Sztaba, and her two sons Victor Salce and his wife Paula (Haddad) Salce all of Berlin, CT and David Salce and his wife Claudine of Southington, CT her brother and sister-in-law Vincent and Carol DiLorenzo of Southington, CT, three grandchildren Kayla, Sarah, Jennifer, several nieces and nephews and two of her bestfriends Viola and Christine. Rose was predeceased by her sister Angelina DiLorenzo and her brother and sister-in-law Salvatore and Mary DiLorenzo. The Salce family would like to thank Nancy Caldwell and all the Staff of Autumn Lake Healthcare facility for the dedication and compassion for providing care to our mother Rose.
A Celebration of Rose’s life will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 195 South Main St., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. There are no calling hours. Service of comfort provided by the Paul A.
