Anne Bastek, 61, of New Britain, CT entered into eternal rest unexpectedly Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. Anne was born in Paris, France and was the daughter of the late Jan and Bronislawa (Rebizak) Bilinski. She retired from the New Britain Board of Education where she worked for twenty years as an administrator. Anne enjoyed outdoor activities and loved helping others out. Her main passion was caring for animals.
Anne is survived by her partner Stanley Jastrzemski of New Britain, CT, her two sons – Ryan Bastek of Torrington, CT and Kristofer Bastek of New Britain, CT, her beloved daughter Sarah Paonessa and her partner Karol Nadolny of New Britain, CT, her two sisters Jeanine Boyington and her husband Russell of Southington, CT, and Christine Ferrigno of San Luis Obispo, CA. and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral rites for Anne will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. with the procession departing at 8:30 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St., New Britain, CT. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home Friday from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west, exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) right off exit – one mile down on right. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT.
