Barbara Borysewicz, 82, of New Britain, CT passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018. Barbara was born in New York, NY and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Emily (Jarmula) Abramowicz. She was a member of Holy Cross church for many years. Barbara had recently retired after twenty-eight years of working as a registered nurse at Monsignor Bojnowski Manor.
Barbara leaves behind her two daughters - Marybeth Mercier of New Britain, CT, and Nancy Pascariello of Southington, CT, her brother Anthony Abramowicz and her sister-in-law Marian Abramowicz both from Florida, and a niece Pamela Wolfers of Washington. Barbara also leaves behind seven granddaughters Cathy Bodnaruk of Farmington, CT, Annie Sgro and Lauren Sgro both of New Britain, CT Emily McElroy of Colchester, CT Nicole Pascariello and Andrea Pascariello both of Southington, CT and Brittany Borysewicz of Bristol, CT, her three grandsons Frank Sgro of New Britain, CT Domenic Pascariello of Colorado, and Mark Mercier of New Britain, CT and four great grandchildren Kyleigh and Zofia Bodnaruk of Farmington, CT and Sam and John McElroy of Colchester, CT. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Frank Borysewicz, her daughter Paula Borysewicz, and her son Robert Borysewicz.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Barbara will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St., New Britain, CT. There are no calling hours. Relatives and friends are asked to go directly to Holy Cross Church Friday morning. Memorial donations may be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
