Our beloved father Charles D. D’Amore, Sr., 75, of Bristol, CT formerly of New Britain, CT passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Genesis Healthcare – Village Green of Bristol. Charles was born in New Britain, CT and was the son of the late Salvatore and Ann (Tackus) D’Amore. He worked at Fafnir Bearing for over fifteen years. Charles was an adventurous man that wouldn’t think twice about hopping on a train to an unknown destination. He also loved the outdoors including camping and hiking.
Charles is survived by his two daughters Roseann D’Amore-Battipaglia and her husband Paul of Plainville, CT, Dawnlisa Teodoro and her husband Teo of Bristol, Ct and his son Charles D’Amore, Jr. and his wife Liz of Berlin, CT, five grandchildren Devon Hrywniak, Brianna Teodoro, Sara Teodoro and Rozanna Hrywniak, his three sisters, Sally Anderson, Maryann Tombari both of New Britain, CT and Bernadette D’Amore of Hawaii and his brother James D’Amore of New Britain, CT. Charles was predeceased by his brother George D’Amore. The D’Amore family would like to thank the staff at Village Green for their excellent loving care.
A private celebration of Charles’ life will be held from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Burial will be private in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain, CT.
